The Vismederi Foundation is pleased to announce its first Open Day dedicated to secondary school students, an initiative designed to introduce younger generations to the world of scientific research, diagnostics, and the professions operating every day within the life sciences sector.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at VM LAB (Zona Industriale Belvedere SNC, Entrance 2, 53034 Colle di Val d’Elsa, Siena), a location that is easily accessible and provides ample free parking for participants. The initiative aims to support students in their educational and career orientation by offering a concrete overview of the study and professional opportunities available in the scientific field. Through direct interaction with researchers, professionals, and specialists, participants will gain insight into how the knowledge acquired during their school years can be applied in highly specialized environments characterized by innovation, research, and development.

During the morning, students will be introduced to the Vismederi Foundation and the companies within the group, with presentations highlighting the main activities carried out in the laboratories. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend scientific outreach sessions, engage directly with industry professionals, and tour the facilities accompanied by specialized staff, observing firsthand the instruments, methodologies, and processes that characterize everyday work in a scientific setting.

To ensure an engaging and interactive experience, participants will be divided into groups that will alternate between guided laboratory tours and scientific lectures.

Participation in the Open Day is free of charge and reserved for students attending secondary schools. To ensure a high-quality experience and facilitate the organization of laboratory visits, the maximum number of participants is limited to 35 students. Registrations may therefore close early once the maximum capacity has been reached. Applications will be accepted exclusively through schools. Guidance Counselors and interested teachers are invited to express their interest by October 31, 2026, by contacting: info@fondazionevismederi.org

Following the expression of interest, participating schools will be asked to provide the list of attending students together with the documentation required for the organization of the event, including signed consent forms for the use of photographs and video recordings. Any images or footage collected during the event will be used solely for the institutional, educational, and communication activities of the Vismederi Foundation. Should registration close before the stated deadline due to capacity limits, participating schools will be informed directly, and updates will be published on the Foundation’s website and official communication channels.

An Opportunity to Explore Your Future

Through this initiative, the Vismederi Foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting scientific culture and strengthening collaboration with schools, creating meaningful opportunities for orientation, growth, and learning for students in the local community. The Open Day represents a unique opportunity to discover the work of researchers and scientific professionals, gain a better understanding of the skills required in the life sciences sector, and engage directly with those who contribute every day to research and innovation.

We look forward to welcoming you on November 14, 2026, for a morning dedicated to discovering science, research, and the professions of the future.
