Aleteia ETS, the Amici del Costone Association, and Fondazione VisMederi are promoting and participating in a comprehensive project dedicated to fostering social well-being, relationship education, and the prevention of social hardship, with a particular focus on families, young people, and parents.

The initiative, presented by attorney Laura Basilio, Vice President of Aleteia ETS, was developed within the framework of SI-SienaSociale, a project promoted by the Municipality of Siena through a co-design process involving Third Sector organizations. Its goal is to create opportunities for discussion and growth through a series of local events focused on equal opportunities, conflict management, conscious parenting, and the development of positive relationships within the community.

The project is based on an integrated approach involving Third Sector organizations, institutions, and qualified professionals, with the aim of promoting awareness, training, and educational pathways capable of generating a tangible impact on the city’s social fabric.

Among the initiative’s partners is Fondazione VisMederi, which is responsible for organizational support, communication activities, and content development.

“Fondazione VisMederi strongly believes in the value of prevention and education as tools for building more aware and inclusive communities,” stated Veronica Cannucci, General Director of Fondazione VisMederi. “Supporting initiatives that encourage dialogue between generations, the development of interpersonal skills, and the well-being of families means investing in the future of our territory. Our mission is to place knowledge and a culture of prevention at the service of people, creating concrete opportunities for participation and exchange.”

A central role will also be played by the Amici del Costone Association, established with the aim of strengthening the connection between the Costone community and the city through social, cultural, and charitable activities.

“The launch of this project represents an important milestone for our association, which strongly believed in its realization. We are convinced that prevention is the most effective response to the educational and social challenges facing younger generations. Strengthening the role of educational communities means creating a network capable of supporting young people in their growth journey, fostering inclusion, awareness, and a sense of belonging. It is through shared work and collaboration among all local stakeholders that we can make a concrete contribution to preventing deviant behavior and promoting the well-being of future generations,” emphasized Valentina Cappelli, President of Amici del Costone.

The program includes three distinct pathways. The first, entitled “Parents and Children: Learning to Understand Each Other,” will consist of eight meetings dedicated to intergenerational dialogue and strengthening family relationships. The second pathway, “New Parents: Growing Together,” will provide tools and opportunities for discussion to support families during the early stages of parenthood. The third, “Women: The Women’s Circle,” will offer a space for listening, sharing experiences, and valuing women’s perspectives.

The meetings will take place between June and September and will involve professionals and experts from various disciplines, with the objective of providing practical tools to address the educational and relational challenges of everyday life.

The initiative represents one of the actions developed within the SI-SienaSociale project and confirms the commitment of the promoting organizations to networking and combining diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives in order to create pathways for collective growth, strengthen social cohesion within the local community, and promote a culture of prevention and active participation.

The meetings will be held as part of the project promoted by Aleteia ETS in collaboration with Amici del Costone and Fondazione VisMederi, with the contribution of qualified professionals and the involvement of local community organizations.
