Science, Art, and Music: The Vismederi Foundation Supports the Oxford Museum of Science Evening Series

Science is not just research and discovery—it can surprise, inspire, and move us. With this vision, the Vismederi Foundation proudly supports the evening series at the Oxford Museum of Science, designed to engage young adults and adults in unique cultural experiences that combine knowledge, creativity, and curiosity.

The 2025/2026 program features three special events:

  • February – Writing in the Museum
A creative writing workshop led by Megan Kerr, published author and instructor. Participants will explore storytelling and self-expression among the Museum’s exhibits, discovering new ways to bring ideas and imagination to life.
  • May – Heart and Art
An interdisciplinary event with Professor Robin Choudhury, cardiologist and Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine. Inspired by his book The Beating Heart, this experience will explore the connections between art and science, inviting participants to engage with the heart—both as an organ and as a source of creativity—within the Museum’s evocative underground gallery.
  • June – Einstein, Physics and Music
An exploration of the intersection between physics and music, inspired by Einstein’s 1931 visit to Oxford. In collaboration with the Oxford University Immunology Network, live musical performances specially composed for the event will evoke the mind and passions of the legendary scientist, offering a unique experience where science meets creativity.

The Oxford Museum of Science evening series shows that scientific discovery can also be a deeply artistic and sensory experience. With the support of the Vismederi Foundation, these events invite audiences to see science from new, inspiring perspectives.
