The VisMederi Foundation welcomed a group of students from the University of Missouri enrolled in the international program Communication & Culture Business in Siena, promoted by IES Abroad Italy. This initiative offers students the opportunity to engage with professional organizations and local institutions, deepening topics related to communication, culture, and innovation in an international context.

The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the VisMederi world and the role the Foundation plays in promoting research, education, and scientific dissemination. The day was opened by the General Director of the VisMederi Foundation, Veronica Cannucci, who presented the organization’s history, its main projects, and the activities developed to foster dialogue between science, society, and the local territory. Special attention was given to the topic of scientific communication, which is increasingly central in a context characterized by the rapid circulation of information and the need to make complex content accessible to different audiences. Through practical examples and case studies, students explored the strategic value of communication in the fields of research and innovation.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to a lecture on internal and external communication, led by Elena Casi, Communication Manager of the VisMederi Group, and Linda Frosini, expert in visual graphics and communication. The session offered an overview of the tools, languages, and strategies used to communicate science, build relationships with stakeholders, and foster effective communication between organizations and communities.

The visit concluded at the new Tognazza laboratories, where students were able to observe firsthand the spaces where research, development, and scientific innovation are carried out on a daily basis. This was an opportunity to understand how laboratory work and communication represent complementary and essential dimensions for the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Through initiatives of this kind, the VisMederi Foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting education, international dialogue, and scientific culture, creating opportunities for exchange between the research world, academia, and the new generations of professionals called to interpret and communicate the challenges of the future.
