A packed hall, a lively debate, and a high-level discussion on the major changes transforming international balances. The presentation of the new issue of the journal Le Sfide, a publication by the Craxi Foundation dedicated to the theme “Global Disorder. Wars, rivalries, and transformations of the contemporary world,” took place at the Accademia dei Rozzi in Siena.
The initiative, carried out with the contribution of the VisMederi Foundation, offered citizens and scholars an important opportunity for in-depth analysis of some of the most relevant issues of our time. In an international context characterized by conflicts, geopolitical tensions, competition between global powers, and profound economic and social changes, the event encouraged reflection on the new dynamics reshaping the global system and their impact on democracies, institutions, and contemporary societies.
The discussion featured Dr. Alessia Chiriatti from the Italian Institute for International Affairs, Prof. Daniele Pasquinucci, and Prof. Alessandra Viviani from the University of Siena. Through different perspectives and expertise, the speakers provided useful interpretative tools to understand the complexity of today’s international scenario, highlighting how increasing global instability requires new analytical frameworks, critical thinking skills, and greater attention to interdisciplinary dialogue.
At the center of the discussion emerged the importance of knowledge as an essential tool to navigate a historical phase marked by deep transformations. Understanding international phenomena means developing greater awareness of the challenges that affect community life, public policies, and relations between states. The journal Le Sfide, promoted by the Craxi Foundation, was created precisely to foster an informed and pluralistic public debate, combining in-depth analysis, historical memory, and critical examination of key national and international political issues.
Through its support for initiatives such as this one, the VisMederi Foundation renews its commitment to promoting culture, dissemination, and interdisciplinary dialogue, encouraging opportunities for exchange open to the community and contributing to the spread of knowledge capable of interpreting the challenges of both the present and the future.
