Every year, the Vismederi Foundation<\/strong> renews its commitment to education and scientific dissemination by welcoming students from international universities. A prime example is the visit of Kent State University<\/strong> students to the Vismederi campus at the Toscana Life Sciences Foundation<\/strong>, which has been taking place every June for several years as part of the Florence Health Institute<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n

This initiative, now firmly established within the Florence Summer Institute<\/strong>, active since 2014, allows students to complement the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom with hands-on, practical experiences. The guided tour of the laboratories, led by Vismederi researchers, offered students the opportunity to explore ongoing research activities, observe operational methodologies, and engage in dialogue with professionals from the scientific and healthcare sectors.<\/p>\n

In addition to the laboratory experience, the day included a presentation on the impact of infectious diseases throughout human history and the crucial role of vaccines in improving quality of life, with a particular focus on the connection between Siena\u2019s traditions and the life sciences.<\/p>\n
